Fuelling Customer Mission: St Bernard’s Primary School, Upper Mt Gravatt

In 2024, St Bernard’s Primary School in Upper Mount Gravatt celebrated 70 years since it first opened its doors, welcoming 120 students under the care of the Sisters of St Joseph. The school continues that legacy, providing a nurturing and high-quality education for its growing community. 

With full funding support from the ADF, an extensive capital works project was completed in 2024. The project included the replacement of the student amenities block and the reconfiguration of existing pick-up and drop-off zones, significantly improving safety and accessibility for students, families and staff. 

In addition, the school delivered a brand-new Early Years playground, creating a vibrant space to support play-based learning and development for its youngest students. These enhancements ensure St Bernard’s can continue to provide contemporary, student-centred facilities that support both wellbeing and learning outcomes. 

“These improvements reflect St Bernard’s strong commitment to providing a safe, engaging and future focused environment for its students,” said ADF Relationship Manager, Stephany Yang. “We’re proud to support a project that has transformed the learning and play spaces into bright and flexible environments that enhance everyday learning and deliver lasting benefits for the entire school community.”  

The completion of these works well positions St Bernard’s Primary School to continue its mission of delivering quality Catholic education, supported by modern facilities that will serve its community well into the future.
